“AI 2027” is a report that predicts rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, potentially leading to the emergence of superintelligent AI within just two years. While many still question whether this will actually happen, the report comes from former OpenAI researcher Daniel Kokotajlo and the team at the AI Futures Project, who have firsthand experience in leading AI labs.
According to the report, AI will become significantly more capable by 2025, and by 2027 it could reach a level where it can develop technology faster than humans, potentially triggering an “intelligence explosion.” This could pose serious risks to humanity, as AI may take over the economy and gain control over many systems, including military applications.
The report outlines two possible paths for the future – rapid progress with accompanying security risks, or a slowdown to allow for better safety measures. One thing is clear: we need to think carefully about how and when we implement these powerful technologies.

Does this all sound too futuristic? Maybe – but the real question is: how do we prepare for this when AI advancement could change everything around us in just a few years?
