At SIGGRAPH 2025, Nvidia unveiled a new generation of tools and models aimed at advancing physical AI and robotics. The centerpiece is Cosmos world models, designed to transform real-world data into digital twins and intelligent autonomous agents – supported by new Omniverse libraries.
A key highlight is Cosmos Reason, a 7-billion-parameter vision-language model built to help robots plan, adapt, and act in the physical world. Alongside it comes Cosmos Transfer-2, a model focused on accelerated generation of synthetic data from 3D simulation environments, dramatically cutting AI training times.
To support these tools, Nvidia also launched RTX Pro Blackwell Servers and DGX Cloud, specialized platforms for training, simulation, and deployment of robotic solutions. Additional releases include new libraries for neural reconstruction and a rendering method that uses sensor data to generate highly accurate 3D simulations of real environments.
Why does this matter? Nvidia is making physical AI more accessible – with faster tools for generating synthetic data, creating digital twins, and training robots in realistic environments. The result could be shorter development cycles, safer robots, and accelerated industrial automation. This opens the door for everyone – from startups to global manufacturers – to enter a new era of robotics and autonomous systems.
