The fourth gathering within the “Science over Coffee” initiative was held in the warm atmosphere of Club Špica, bringing together numerous enthusiasts of science, technology, and sustainable development.
The guest of the evening was Adla Kahrić, an expert in environmental policy and sustainable economy, who led an inspiring and interactive discussion that opened a number of important questions:
- How can science-based policies help build a fairer and more sustainable economy?
- In what ways can the private sector contribute to global biodiversity protection?
- How much potential lies in mechanisms such as carbon credits for Bosnia and Herzegovina, and what benefits could they bring if properly implemented?
- Why do energy security and a future without Russian gas require serious strategic consideration?
The discussion was dynamic and inspiring, with an engaged audience that contributed with numerous questions, suggestions, and comments, further enriching the evening. The atmosphere, as always, was relaxed, stimulating, and full of new ideas – exactly the kind that “Science over Coffee” aims to foster.
We extend our gratitude to Adla Kahrić for her outstanding lecture and inspiring insights, as well as to UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ANNT) for their continuous support of this initiative.
