As part of the project Youth Create a Better Future for Youth, an educational workshop titled Smarter Than Average – AI as a Tool of the Future was held, dedicated to understanding and practically applying artificial intelligence among young people. The workshop was led by Ajla Karajko, AI consultant and PhD candidate, who introduced participants to the basics of AI in a clear, understandable, and applicable way.
The workshop was opened by Adi Salčinović, Executive Director of the Youth Center INPUT, who welcomed the participants, presented the project’s goals and planned activities, and announced the upcoming opening of the Youth HUB – a space for young people to socialize, learn, exchange knowledge and experiences, network, and develop ideas that contribute to positive changes in the local community.
During the workshop, participants learned through concrete examples and practical exercises how to use artificial intelligence smartly, responsibly, and creatively, especially in the context of learning, project development, presentations, and personal growth. Special emphasis was placed on how AI can support young people in developing their own ideas, youth initiatives, and socially beneficial projects.
After the workshop, the first podcast within the project was recorded, in which Ajla Karajko spoke about the role of artificial intelligence in education, everyday life, and the future of work, as well as the importance of critical thinking and responsible use of AI tools. The open discussion further encouraged young people to ask questions and exchange opinions, contributing to a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.
We don’t wait for the future – we create it together.
