AI ads steal the show at Super Bowl LX

Super Bowl LX this year was not just a sports spectacle but also a major stage for the AI industry. Companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Amazon, and Meta, along with a range of startups, turned the “Big Game” into a battle for consumer attention and the position of the leading AI assistant in everyday life.

Anthropic debuted at the Super Bowl with a viral campaign targeting ads within AI systems, further fueling public debate with OpenAI and Sam Altman. The SVEDKA vodka brand aired what it claims is the first Super Bowl ad primarily generated using AI, bringing its robot mascot to life with AI-trained dance movements. Meta promoted its AI glasses through the concept of “athletic intelligence,” Amazon introduced a new version of Alexa+, and Google highlighted Gemini and Nano Banana.

Other AI players such as Base44, Genspark, Rampa, Rippling, and Wix also appeared in ads, and the share of tech advertisements at the Super Bowl reportedly rose to around 10%. The battle is now not only for market share but for user trust—who will become the default AI assistant, agent, or device in daily life. At the same time, AI is changing not just what is sold but also how ads are created.
